The Minor in Writing
Deciding to get a minor in writing was one of the best things I have ever done for myself. Being a science major, I found myself spending less and less time writing because I was busy with all of my other work. Now, I have to take English and Writing courses, which helps me in more ways than one. I find writing relaxing and fun, so now I have some time for that in my schedule. And, since I now have this "fun" time, I find myself able to focus on my science courses more. Since being a minor, I have found it difficult being compared to other good writers-- I am no longer the "best" when I sit in the classroom. This has been a humbling experience, filled with ups and downs. But, I have achieved a lot through the class's projects:
